About

Hello dear visitor!
My name is Victoria and I’m painting with light.
You can find me where the golden light shines through the misty fields at dawn, where the trees are glistening at sunset, reflecting in the mirrors of the lakes and the deer are running fast to hide from the first drops of summer rain..

That’s what I photograph with my vintage film cameras, and would like to share with you on this blog..

  1. Hello Victoria,

I am from australia and just found your beautiful store on etsy, then found the link to your blog here.

I havent seen much so far here, but what i have seen so far and also saw in your store and read your words, has lit a light inside of me. It is like all the forgotten things i love have now come to a remembrance, that were hidden with pain and life’s journey.
I used to love to create very much and would spend hours just photographing water. I also paint and my aim is to make jewellery. I too love old books and the scent inside and i have not met anyone else who also said that, plus i love newer books too and their scent as well.
    I am 52 and have 2 daughters.
I spend my time visiting my mother who has alzheimers and also helping my dad who isnt coping too well.
So as you can imagine this is very draining emotionally.
But anyway to forget that, i am going to now spend some lovely quiet time perusing your beautiful blog.
thank you for being who you are, you have brightened my life :)

  2. I thought i would leave you with this a small part of this John Keats poem, A Thing of Beauty, for this is what you have created.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness; but still will keep
A bower quiet for us, and a sleep
Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.
Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathing
A flowery band to bind us to the earth,
Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearth
Of noble natures, of the gloomy days,
Of all the unhealthy and o’er-darkened ways
Made for our searching: yes, in spite of all,
Some shape of beauty moves away the pall
    From our dark spirits.
